Keep Scotland Beautiful runs two beach award programmes to assist local authorities and land managers improve the quality of local beach environments in Scotland, tackling aquatic litter and waste reduction, highlighting good water quality and excellent safety procedures while supporting environmental education at the beach.
The two award schemes offered are the internationally recognised Blue Flag and the Seaside Awards. To find out where the closest award winning beach is to you we've developed a searchable online map.
Keep Scotland Beautiful also campaigns to reduce beach and coastal litter, provides small grants to beach clean up groups, supports the Bathing Water Review Panel and sits on the National Water Safety Forum's Beach Advisory Group.
